The linear actuators of the NIASA F/A series are electromechanical cylinders in which a round rod moves inside a second tube made of steel or aluminum.

The longitudinal movement of the rod is generated by the combination of a screw and nut, which are driven by an electric motor. Power transmission from the motor can be achieved either directly or via various gear and chain solutions.
